The Details
Lufthansa have an enormous number of lounges throughout Frankfurt Airport, within three main categories: Business Lounge; Senator Lounge; First Lounge. The Business lounges are only for Business Class passengers, and are actually of a lower standard than the Senator Lounge, which is available for Star Alliance Gold, as well as First Class passengers departing from a terminal without a dedicated First Class lounge. As such, Economy travellers with Elite status have access to a better lounge than paying Business passengers.
The lounge is seemingly separated into a few zones. The first is the chic bar and lounge area, with artful décor, comfortable lounges and a fully tended bar.
Just adjacent to this is the second zone, a sleeping area, which is kept dark and has flat rest chairs for resting.
Near the entrance, the third zone provides business and IT facilities, with several desks and computers available for use, as well as a block of phone charging lockers. There are also several luggage lockers to store belongings.
The final zone is the generous dining area, located next to the buffet. There are several dining and bar tables as well as ample seating, all within a short distance of the food and drink on offer.
The Senator lounge also offers spa treatments, which can be booked for a fee. Showers, however, are complimentary.
One of the most pivotal features of any lounge is the level of natural light. This lounge features large floor to ceiling windows offering generous light and gorgeous views of the tarmac and gate areas.
This particular lounge was very impressive in its design and space, yet is not even the best at Frankfurt. Located in an older part of the airport, it is actually not as good as some of the sibling lounges in other terminals, yet is still phenomenal.
Lufthansa continues to provide a great experience, both on the ground and in the air, and really does know how to impress and take care of guests.
