In a surprise twist, SIA has announced it will temporarily deploy the A350 to Hong Kong as part of the crew familiarisation process.
Currently, the aircraft is flying on sectors to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, and will soon operate Hong Kong, in order to train and familiarise crew with the aircraft before the proper inaugural to Amsterdam on May 9.
From April 27 to May 8, SQ856 and SQ861 will be flown by the new A350-900, as opposed to the regular A330. Passengers on these flights may be surprised to see the new cabin, and will most certainly be impressed by the enhanced comfort and space.
