Dubai has two Ritz-Carlton properties, with a hotel located in the central financial district and a resort situated on the beach along Dubai Marina. About a 30-minute drive from the airport and a short taxi ride/ tram ride from major attractions, the resort is will located for those wishing to relax in a beach environment, whilst being able to fully experience Dubai.

Upon arrival, our luggage was taken care of and we were escorted to the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge for private check-in. The main reception area is grand and open, with a water fountain and chandeliers, along with a traditional Majilis lounge offering Arabic coffee and dates.

We were invited to have a drink and snack whilst the check-in was completed. A staff member then brought all the documents along with the credit card machine to our table to formalise everything, before we were escorted to our room.

The Club Deluxe Rooms are all situated so as to face the ocean, providing spectacular views in a spacious 538 sq. ft. space.

The resort has several swimming pools, with some dedicated to adults, and other to children. At the far end is the private beach, maintained exclusively for resort guests. The ocean water is incredibly calm and warm, perfect for those who are not strong swimmers. The location is spectacular and simply screams Dubai!

The lounge is frequented by Club guests, and offers a personalised experience where the staff remember and acknowledge who you are. Drinks are varied and of high quality, as is the food. Whilst the website states “Continental Breakfast”, the lounge actually provides a high quality full American breakfast, doing away with the need for purchasing buffet options.

Service at the hotel is excellent, and the concierge are always willing to assist with booking tours and attractions. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk from the resort within the Jumeirah Beach Residence area, whilst complimentary shuttles are available to some of the major shopping malls.

The resort is an excellent Ritz-Carlton property and is highly recommended for leisure-focused trips to Dubai.
