Well it’s about time this happened! Any Sydney-based travellers will know the struggles of having counters placed VERY LAST in the terminal, at the absolute furthest end. This has always meant a significant walk from the counters to emigration facilities.

Now I don’t know how they managed to kick out Emirates (who were previously in this area), or where Emirates are moving now, but the SQ counters have finally been relocated to row E13+, just in front of the departures lane and the express path for emigration.

The new counters will be operational from SQ212 (0855 departure) on March 27

It’s a great touch for frequent travellers, making the location more central, more convenient and moreaccessible.
